Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 12: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for government employees to submit their property statements for the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, via the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) portal until November 30, 2024.
This extension was announced by Additional Secretary of the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Sashank Sekhar Dash, in a communication sent to senior officials, Revenue Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, and District Magistrates.
The extension follows reports that many employees have not yet filed their annual property returns. The government decided to grant this additional time as a final opportunity for compliance. The Additional Secretary has directed all officials to ensure that employees under their jurisdiction adhere to this new deadline.
According to the Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct (Amendment) Rule, 2021, all government employees (Group A to Group D) are required to declare their assets, including both movable and immovable property, by January 31 of the following year. The original deadline of January 31, 2024, had already been extended to February 29 and then to March 16.
