Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on September 17 to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 3,800 crore.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will begin by interacting with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban around 11:15 am. He will then proceed to lay the foundation stone and dedicate various development projects to the nation, including significant railway projects valued at over Rs 2,800 crore. These railway projects aim to enhance infrastructure and boost connectivity in the region.
Additionally, Modi will lay the foundation stone for National Highway projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crore during his visit.
A key highlight of the visit will be the launch of ‘SUBHADRA,’ Odisha’s flagship scheme targeting women. This initiative, the largest of its kind focused on women, is expected to benefit over one crore women. Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries aged 21-60 will receive Rs 50,000 over five years, distributed as Rs 10,000 annually in two installments directly to their Aadhaar-enabled bank accounts.
