Crime News: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 15: A dismembered body of a bank employee was discovered near Kednuapada railway station in Bhadrak district, Odisha, on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Lalatendu Barik, a resident of Sherpur village. According to sources, the Government Railway Police recovered the body and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Preliminary reports suggest that Barik may have taken his own life by jumping in front of a train the previous night, although the exact circumstances are yet to be confirmed. Barik had left his workplace the evening before, but failed to return home. His family, after a frantic search, found his electric scooter near the railway station late at night, which led them to discover his body on the tracks.
Sources indicate that Barik had been under significant stress and had recently submitted his resignation from the bank. The authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the situation and whether any foul play was involved.
