Odisha CM: CM Mohan Charan Majhi embarks on Singapore visit to attract foreign investments

Odisha CM: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 16: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi departed for a four-day visit to Singapore on Saturday, leading a high-level delegation to promote Odisha as a prime destination for foreign investments. This visit comes ahead of the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2025, scheduled for January, and is strategically aligned with the annual Bali Jatra, which celebrates Odisha’s ancient maritime trade ties with Southeast Asia, including Bali, Java, and Sumatra.

During the trip, the Chief Minister is set to address an Investors’ Meet and engage with key leaders of Singapore-based companies. Speaking before his departure, Majhi emphasized the state’s readiness to attract global investments, stating, “When investors think of doing business in India, Odisha will be their first choice. We will showcase our resources, skilled workforce, and progressive industrial policies to top business heads.”

Additionally, the delegation will host a roadshow titled ‘Business Opportunities in Odisha’ to further highlight the state’s potential. The Chief Minister also acknowledged Singapore’s strengths in industries like chemicals, petrochemicals, green energy, logistics, financial services, food processing, shipbuilding, and semiconductors, and stated that the Odisha team will engage with executives from these sectors to explore investment prospects.
