weather news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 5: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall in several parts of Odisha over the next two days. In a bulletin released on Thursday, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar indicated that areas including Koraput, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kandhamal, and Malkangiri are expected to receive rain within the next 24 hours.
Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is anticipated in certain districts such as Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Keonjhar during this period, potentially affecting visibility. On Sunday, similar weather patterns are predicted for Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Angul, and Gajapati districts.
Looking ahead to Monday, the IMD anticipates light showers in Gajapati, Nayagarh, and Ganjam. Notably, no weather warnings have been issued for the next five days.
The IMD also mentioned that night temperatures are expected to begin falling across various parts of the state starting Saturday. While there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature over the next 24 hours, a decrease of 2-4 degrees Celsius is likely in the following days.
