crime news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 28: Four individuals, claiming to be ‘sadhus’, were detained by the police in the Maitri Vihar area of Bhubaneswar on Saturday, on suspicion of being involved in theft activities.

According to sources, the four men, dressed in saffron attire, were seen soliciting alms from local residents, identifying themselves as sadhus. When they rejected a Rs 10 offering and demanded Rs 50 to Rs 100 instead, the residents became suspicious and alerted the police. It was further alleged that the suspects had been conducting surveillance during the day, possibly planning robberies during the night.
