Accident: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 14: At least three people lost their lives in two separate road accidents that occurred in Odisha’s Jajpur and Sonepur districts on Monday. In the first incident, two motorcyclists died after their bikes collided head-on near Katapali, falling under the Binika police jurisdiction in Sonepur district.
One biker died instantly, while the other was critically injured. Locals rushed him to VIMSAR in Burla, but he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
In a separate mishap in Jajpur district, a biker was killed and two others were critically injured when their motorcycle was struck by a passenger bus near Chhatia. The bus was en route to Bhubaneswar from Balasore at the time of the accident. Following the collision, the bus caught fire, causing panic among passengers. Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated without any injuries.
Upon receiving the reports, a police team arrived at the scene and transported the deceased for an autopsy. Fire Service personnel from Chandikhol also arrived to extinguish the flames.
