Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 24: Accident: A man tragically died of suffocation after his car plunged into a canal in the Bamphakuda area under the Sadar police limits in Cuttack, Odisha. The deceased has been identified as Kanha Jena, a resident of Bamphakuda.
According to reports, Jena’s family became worried when he did not return home late Monday night. After unsuccessful attempts to contact him, they initiated a search for his whereabouts. On Tuesday morning, local residents discovered a submerged car in the canal and promptly notified the Fire Service Department.
Fire personnel quickly arrived at the scene and found Jena’s lifeless body in the driver’s seat. The car was subsequently retrieved using a JCB. Preliminary investigations suggest that Jena may have lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and into the canal the previous night. The Sadar Police have since taken possession of the body and launched an investigation into the incident.
