Accident : Speeding truck runs over motorcycle, killing four in Odisha’s Koraput

Accident: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 22: Four persons lost their lives in a tragic accident on National Highway-26 near Jabakanaditha under Jeypore Sadar police limits in Koraput district on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Dhoba Paraja (25), Loknath Jani (18), Ghasi Paraja (11), and Dhanpati Paraja (13), all residents of Bichalkota village in Boipariguda block.

The incident occurred around 8 am when the four victims, who were farm labourers, were traveling on a motorcycle towards Bhatachinchi. As they were riding, they were struck by a speeding truck, and the victims were dragged under the wheels. Tragically, all four died at the scene.

Upon receiving the report, local police reached the site and began an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities suspect dense fog in the area as a contributing factor. The truck driver, who fled immediately after the incident, later surrendered to the police. Investigations are ongoing.
