accident: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Feb 11: Bhubaneswar witnessed a tragic accident in the early hours of Tuesday when a speeding car collided with a motorcycle on the Puri bypass road near Tankapani, resulting in the death of three youths. The incident occurred near Sai Temple under the jurisdiction of Badagada Police Station.
According to preliminary reports, the accident happened when the three youths were riding on a bike along the bypass road. A high-speed car, reportedly traveling from Jagatsinghpur towards Puri, crashed into the motorcycle, throwing the riders off balance and leaving them critically injured. The impact was so severe that all three died on the spot, locals said.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene, recovered the bodies, and shifted them to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination. Officials have detained the owner of the car for questioning.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops to determine the sequence of events leading to the fatal crash. The tragic mishap has once again raised concerns over reckless driving on Odisha’s roads.
