Amit Shah: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 26:: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of December 28 for a two-day visit to Odisha. According to Vijaypal Singh Tomar, the state unit in-charge of the BJP, Shah is expected to land in the state capital around 10 PM on December 28 and will depart the following evening.
During his visit, Shah will participate in events at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) facility, a university, and a sports stadium. However, Tomar noted that Sambalpur is not included in Shah’s latest itinerary.
On the morning of December 29, Shah will attend a party meeting via video conference from Kalinga Stadium, although the itinerary does not specify an interaction with party MLAs and office bearers, despite previous plans for such a meeting.
In his last visit to Odisha in November for the DGP/IGP conference, Shah did not engage in any party activities. Following his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bhubaneswar on January 9 and will return to inaugurate the Utkarsha Odisha Make in Odisha investors’ meet on January 28.
