Amit Shah visit: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 19: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Odisha for two days at the end of this month, likely on December 29 and 30.

Although the detailed schedule for his visit has not yet been released, sources within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) indicate that Shah’s trip is significant, following his recent visit from November 29 to December 1 for the DGP-IGP meeting in Bhubaneswar, which was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During his upcoming visit, Shah is anticipated to participate in a training program for party MLAs in Bhubaneswar and visit Sambalpur, where he will attend several events aimed at strengthening the party’s organization in the state.

Ahead of Shah’s arrival, there is speculation regarding potential discussions about expanding the BJP ministry in Odisha. With the Mohan Majhi government completing six months in office, the possibility of adding new ministers has been a topic of interest.

Shah’s itinerary is expected to blend official duties with party matters, including a review of preparations for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, which will be held in Bhubaneswar for the first time. The convention will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 9, with President Droupadi Murmu attending the valedictory session the following day.
