Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 8: Arun Kumar Sarangi, the former Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha and ex-Director of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, officially assumed office as the Chairperson of the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Tuesday.
Sarangi, who retired voluntarily from the Indian Police Service (IPS), brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise gained over his distinguished career in law enforcement.
His appointment comes at a crucial time as the OPSC plays a pivotal role in recruiting civil servants for various government positions in Odisha. Sarangi is expected to enhance the commission’s operations and streamline the recruitment processes to ensure transparency and efficiency.
