Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 25: Bharatpur Case: A Crime Branch (CB) team, investigating the alleged torture of an Army officer and the sexual assault of his fiancée while in police custody, recreated the crime scene at Bharatpur police station on Wednesday. This was done in the presence of the victims and utilized a Ferro camera for documentation.

The officials also visited Pathargadia on Chandaka Road, where the couple reportedly had a scuffle with students on September 14. Following this incident, they approached the police to file a road rage complaint, which ultimately led to their alleged mistreatment.

The CB has sought permission from the Bhubaneswar SDJM Court to conduct lie detector tests on the Army officer’s fiancée and several police personnel accused of sexual misconduct, after obtaining written consent from the woman.

Additionally, former Bharatpur Police Station IIC Dinakrushna Mishra has consented to undergo lie detection, brain-mapping, and narco-analysis tests, all of which will take place in Gujarat. These measures have become necessary due to challenges in verifying the allegations, as there were no CCTV cameras at the police station during the incident and no independent witnesses available.
