bus crash: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 30: In a tragic accident early Monday morning, one person lost their life, and two others were critically injured when a Bhubaneswar-bound bus collided with a truck near Jaraka Chhak on NH 16 in Odisha’s Jajpur district. The incident occurred around 3 AM, when the bus, carrying approximately 50 passengers and traveling from Baripada to Bhubaneswar, crashed into a fertilizer-laden truck that was parked along the roadside.

The bus helper died instantly in the collision, while two critically injured individuals were promptly transported to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for urgent medical care. Additionally, 20 other passengers sustained minor injuries and received first aid at the Dharmasala community health center.

Rescue operations were challenging, with some passengers needing to be freed by breaking the bus windows. In response to the incident, the Dharmasala police have seized both the bus and the truck, launching a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
