crime news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 13: The blood-soaked body of a woman was discovered on the banks of a river near the Paramahansa area under the jurisdiction of Kandarpur police on Saturday morning. The victim showed signs of a violent struggle, with gruesome injuries evident, including deep gashes on her face and neck.

A sharp-edged weapon was recovered from the crime scene, which investigators believe may have been the tool used to inflict these fatal wounds. The nature of the injuries and the presence of the weapon have led authorities to suspect a brutal and premeditated murder.

Upon receiving the report, Cuttack police quickly arrived at the location and began their investigation. They are working diligently to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crime. Notably, the victim had a tattoo on her left hand that read ‘Om Baba Balia’ in Odia, accompanied by the letters ‘pita kpsm,’ which may provide crucial clues regarding her identity.

Cuttack DCP Jagmohan Meena has urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying the woman and unraveling the mystery behind this tragic case.
