crime news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 5: In a shocking incident, armed robbers invaded a home in Angarakh village, located in Odisha’s Kendrapada district, stealing cash and gold ornaments after threatening the family members at gunpoint. The robbery occurred on Wednesday night under the jurisdiction of the Aul police station.
Reports indicate that a group of masked dacoits armed with guns and sharp weapons stormed into the residence of Prabhakar Pradhan. During the violent encounter, they assaulted Prabhakar and his daughter-in-law, Anusmita, leaving them with serious injuries. The robbers terrorized the family, brandishing their weapons, and proceeded to ransack the house, breaking into three almirahs and stealing cash and gold ornaments valued at over Rs 5 lakh.
Local sources suggest that around six dacoits were involved in the attack. Following the incident, a team from the Aul police station quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the crime. The injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment, where their condition has since been reported as stable. Authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the robbers responsible for this brazen act.
