Crime News: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 22: A tragic incident occurred on Thursday night in Mahalikapada village, under the Harabhanga police limits in Boudh district, where a woman died and her younger sister is fighting for her life after an alleged suicide attempt. The deceased woman has been identified as Nalini Sahu, while her sister, Shalini Sahu, is currently undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Reports suggest that the two women were involved in a heated argument over a family dispute. Nalini’s husband, Mantu Sahu, lives with his wife and their two-year-old son in Mahalikapada, and Shalini had been visiting them. The disagreement between the sisters quickly escalated, leading both of them to reportedly consume poison in an act of desperation. They were rushed to a nearby hospital before being transferred to the DHH, where Nalini was declared dead upon arrival. Shalini is still battling for survival.
The Harabhanga police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
