crime news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 14: In a disturbing case of a jilted lover making intimate scenes of a woman go viral, a youth was arrested by the police from Jajpur town in Odisha for allegedly committing the offence.
According to reports, a woman lodged a complaint at Banki Police Station on November 14, accusing one Amiya Chakra of circulating her private video clips. In her complaint, the woman claimed that Chakra had promised to marry her, but instead coerced her into a live-in relationship.
Despite her hopes for marriage, Chakra repeatedly delayed it, citing various reasons. When she demanded that he fulfill his promise, he rejected her and, in retaliation, made their intimate videos viral, which he had secretly recorded, she alleged.
Frustrated by the lack of action from local police, the woman reached out to the Cuttack Rural SP, who took prompt action. Using the accused’s mobile number, the police tracked his location and arrested him from Jajpur on Friday night.
In a similar case, a man was arrested in Sambalpur for posting obscene videos of a married woman. Cyber police tracked down the accused, Ashish Padhy, and arrested him.
