Crime News: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 15: On Tuesday, Odisha police arrested five individuals, including four journalists from online web portals, in connection with the alleged robbery of Rs 2.55 lakh from a businessman based in Kantabanji. The incident reportedly occurred on October 2, and the victim promptly filed a complaint with the Bhawanipatna Sadar police the same day.

According to police reports, Saintala Police initially detained two suspects who were attempting to flee the scene. Following further investigation, the four web portal journalists were also apprehended. The police confirmed that all five suspects would be presented before the court after undergoing medical examinations.

Authorities suspect that a total of eight individuals may be involved in this crime, and efforts are currently underway to apprehend the remaining suspects. The case has raised concerns regarding the activities of journalists and their potential involvement in criminal activities, prompting further scrutiny by law enforcement agencies. The investigation continues as police work to uncover the full extent of the operation.
