Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 28: In a shocking incident, the decapitated body of a Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) employee was found near the railway track within the plant premises in Odisha’s Steel City, Rourkela.
The deceased has been identified as Basudev Pradhan, a 50-year-old resident of Sector 4D Block. Pradhan had recently joined the Heavy Maintenance Electricals (HME) Department at RSP just a month ago, where he worked as a Master Technician.
Local sources indicate that the discovery of his body, along with the severed head, has sent shockwaves through the community and raised serious concerns about safety and security in the industrial area. The body has been transported to the morgue of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) for a post-mortem examination.
In response to this grim discovery, the Tangarpali police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Pradhan’s death.
