Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launches election campaign in Hinjili constituency

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), April 24: Odisha Chief Minister and President of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Naveen Patnaik, commenced his election campaign in his home turf of Hinjili Assembly constituency in Ganjam district on Wednesday.

Speaking at a public rally in Sheragada, Patnaik vehemently criticized the opposition, accusing them of obstructing development initiatives merely for political gain. He emphasized that the people of Odisha are cognizant of such tactics and will deliver a fitting response in the forthcoming elections.

Patnaik expressed his vision for Odisha’s future, pledging that the state would emerge as a frontrunner in the country by its centenary year in 2036. He underscored the achievements of his government, highlighting initiatives such as the empowerment of self-help groups (SHGs) and zero-interest loans for farmers, which have significantly improved livelihoods across the state. Additionally, he lauded the Mission Shakti program for empowering women and facilitating their active participation in various spheres of life.

The Chief Minister asserted that Odisha has set benchmarks in health, education, and disaster management, positioning itself as a leader in various domains. He cited the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna (BSKY) as a testament to the state’s commitment to healthcare and praised its unique features. Patnaik also announced plans to introduce a youth budget, focusing on industrial investment and skill development to provide opportunities for the youth of Odisha in the coming decade.

As Patnaik laid out his vision for Odisha’s future, his words resonated with the aspirations of the people, setting the tone for an ambitious agenda aimed at propelling the state towards prosperity and growth.
