Gold worth lakhs stolen from scientist’s home in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 14: Gold ornaments worth several lakh rupees were stolen from the home of a scientist in Bhubaneswar on Friday night. The robbery occurred while the resident was abroad on a foreign tour. The flat, located on the outskirts of the city, was locked at the time of the incident.

According to reports, the robbers broke into the residence around midnight. They managed to gain entry and made off with gold ornaments weighing approximately 500 grams, along with other valuables. The theft has been described as a significant loss due to the high value of the stolen items.

The Chandaka police have filed a case and launched an investigation into the burglary. Authorities are currently examining potential leads and reviewing security footage to identify the culprits. The incident has raised concerns about security in the area and the need for enhanced measures to prevent such crimes.
