IMD forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall across Odisha for next 5 days

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 22: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of Odisha over the next five days. The IMD’s midday weather bulletin issued on Monday indicates that light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected to continue across most of Odisha for at least a week.

A yellow warning has been issued for the next 24 hours, with heavy rain (7 to 11 cm) predicted in isolated areas of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, and Bargarh.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at isolated locations in Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapada.

July 24:
Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated locations in Kendrapada, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Angul. Heavy rain (7 to 11 cm) may occur in Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.

July 25:
Yellow Warning: Heavy rain (7 to 11 cm) may affect Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

July 26:
Yellow Warning: Heavy rain (7 to 11 cm) is expected in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.
