Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Aug 13: After a brief respite, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rain for several parts of Odisha through the morning of August 18. In its midday bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar reported that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected across many districts in Odisha over the next week.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms in 13 districts until 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The districts under this warning are Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, and Ganjam.

August 14: Heavy rain (7 to 11 cm) and thunderstorms with lightning are likely at isolated locations in Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur.
August 15: Heavy rain is expected at isolated locations in Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Deogarh.
August 16: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places in Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, and Angul.
August 17: Heavy rain is likely at isolated locations in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Sonepur.
