Income Tax raid: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 26: Officials from the Income Tax Department launched coordinated raids at multiple locations linked to the prominent S N Mohanty Group in Odisha on Tuesday. The raids are reportedly being conducted at several key sites, including the company’s offices in Joda and Barbil in Keonjhar district, as well as at its corporate headquarters in Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the raids are also targeting MD Prabodh Mohanty’s residence in New Forest Park Colony and the corporate offices in Forest Park. In addition, the search operations have extended to the group’s bauxite mine.
A total of six teams from the Income Tax Department are involved in the raids, meticulously examining various documents and files. Reports also suggest that the company’s Kolkata office is under investigation.
Officials are questioning Prabodh Mohanty and other senior company officials in connection with the ongoing case. As of now, no further details have been made available, and the results of the operation will be clearer once the searches and document scrutiny are completed. Company representatives have yet to comment on the raids.
