Indian Navy: Helicopter of Indian Navy forced to land in Mayurbhanj during flight

Indian Navy: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 4: An Indian Navy helicopter on Wednesday made an emergency landing in a paddy field in Amarada village, located in the Rasagovindapur block of Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. The incident occurred when the helicopter experienced a technical snag during its flight. Farmers working in the field were startled as they saw the chopper hovering above before it attempted to land in a nearby area, taking precautions to avoid flying paddy stubble.

The unexpected arrival of the helicopter quickly attracted the attention of local residents, who gathered to witness the unusual event up close. Fortunately, both the pilot and crew members emerged from the situation unharmed. Upon landing, the pilot immediately began troubleshooting the technical issue that necessitated the emergency landing, working diligently for approximately 30 minutes to resolve the problem.

After addressing the snag, the helicopter was deemed ready for takeoff. Following a brief halt of around 45 minutes, it successfully resumed its journey, lifting off from the paddy field without any further incidents. The situation highlighted the resilience and quick response of the crew in handling an unexpected emergency.
