Jagannath Temple: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 20:The Odisha Government is set to implement a queue system at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, aimed at facilitating a smooth and orderly darshan of the sibling deities starting from New Year’s Day. This initiative comes in anticipation of a significant increase in the number of devotees visiting the temple for the holiday.

Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan announced the plans during a press conference on Friday, emphasizing that the arrangements will allow devotees to have darshan in a disciplined manner, extending from the Nata Mandap to the Bahara Katha area. He urged the support of all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of this new system, which will see devotees entering the temple from one side and exiting from the other.

To accommodate all visitors, separate queues will be established for women, children, and male devotees, as per comments made by Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee. Special provisions are also being made for Divyang (differently-abled) and elderly devotees to ensure they can have a comfortable experience while offering their prayers. The new system aims to enhance the overall experience for the thousands expected to visit the temple in the coming weeks.
