Lord Jagannath and siblings to adorn Sunabesha in Puri today

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 17: Today, the deities of the Holy Trinity—Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra—are set to adorn the Sunabesha, also known as Rajarajeshwari Besha, upon their return from the Gundicha temple on Ashadha Shukla Ekadasi Tithi.

Lord Balabhadra will be adorned with Shreepayar, Shreebhuja, Kirita, Odiani, Kundal, Chandasurya, and various chains. Devi Subhadra will wear Kirita, Odiani, Chandrasurya, Kana, Adakani, Kadambamali, Sebatimali, and two Tagadis. Similarly, Lord Jagannath will shine in Shreepayar, Shreebhuja, Kirita, Odiani, Kundal, Chandasurya, and other ornaments.

The Holy Trinity will be embellished in gold ornaments from 5 to 7 pm today, with an expected gathering of over 10 lakh devotees along the Badadanda to witness the Mahaprabhu and his siblings in the Sunabesha. The Rajarajeshwari Besha will be visible to devotees until 11 pm.

To accommodate devotees, East Coast Railways will operate 46 special trains to Puri. Additionally, reports indicate that 33 more special trains will run from various parts of the state, ensuring convenient travel for passengers visiting Puri during Adharapana. These special trains will originate from Paradip, Angul, Bhadrak, Junagarh Road, Khurda Road, Daspalla, Sompeta, Palasa, Keonjhar, Gunupur, Jagdalpur, Sonepur, and Sambalpur.
