New Dress Code For Nurses: Bhubaneswar (Reporterspen), Nov. 11: The dress code for nurses in the state health department has changed. Nurses will now wear uniforms with new colors and designs, featuring Sambalpuri print. Nurses will wear lavender or light purple-colored uniforms, with both male and female nurses wearing slightly purple shirts and pants. Assistant Nursing Superintendents will wear cyan blue or light blue uniforms. Deputy Nursing Superintendents will wear white sarees or dresses with Sambalpuri print on the collar of the apron. Similarly, male Deputy Nursing Superintendents will have Sambalpuri print on the collar of their white jackets. This decision was made after discussions with the Odisha Nursing Staff Association. The State Nursing Federation’s secretary, Ashwini Kumar Das, expressed gratitude to the state government for the uniform change, welcoming the decision. He added that this was one of the main demands among the 10-point proposal they submitted to the government. Over 15,000 employees in Odisha will benefit from this change. The association is hopeful that the government will fulfill other pending demands as well. The new dress code was finalized after consultations between the government and the association.
