Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), April 14: The admission process for Plus Three (Undergraduate) courses in degree colleges across Odisha for the academic session 2025-26 is set to begin on April 16, 2025, as officially announced by the Department of Higher Education, Odisha. The Common Application Form (CAF) for admissions will be available online starting from April 16.
The admission process will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring alignment with modern educational standards. Students who wish to apply for various undergraduate courses will need to submit their applications through the centralized Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal. This digital platform has greatly simplified and streamlined the admission process for higher education in Odisha.
Through the SAMS portal, students will have the flexibility to select their preferred subject combinations, including options for a single major with two minors, double majors, or even three minor subjects, providing greater academic freedom.
To ensure a smooth academic year, the state government has planned to begin undergraduate classes by July 10, 2025, allowing ample time for admissions to be processed and final preparations made.
