Odisha CM visits Bhubaneswar’s Durga Puja pandals, announces ground rent waiver

Odisha CM: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 12: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with his wife Priyanka Marandi, visited several Durga Puja pandals in Bhubaneswar on Friday, as part of the festive celebrations. According to an official statement, the Chief Minister visited nine different pandals, bringing festive greetings to the people.

His tour began at the historic Patnasahi Puja Mandap in Old Town, which is celebrating its 75th Durga Puja this year, where he offered prayers to Goddess Durga.

Majhi continued his visits to pandals in areas like Sundarpada, Baramunda, Nayapalli, Sahid Nagar, Rasulgarh, Station Bazaar, and Laxmi Sagar. Speaking to the media, he expressed his joy, stating, “With the arrival of Goddess Durga, the atmosphere is filled with festivity. I feel blessed to have had darshan on Ashtami and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and development of the people of Odisha.”

Several puja committees honored the Chief Minister during his visit, and prior to the tour, Majhi announced the waiver of ground rent for all Durga Puja pandals across the state.
