odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Jan 1:  Newly-appointed Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, ahead of his swearing-in ceremony scheduled for January 3. Upon his arrival in the state capital, Kambhampati will make a significant visit to Puri, where he will seek blessings at the revered Shree Jagannath Temple, a vital pilgrimage site for many devotees.

At 71 years old, Kambhampati brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational and political background to his new role. Prior to his appointment as the Governor of Odisha, he served as the Governor of Mizoram. Kambhampati will be replacing Raghubar Das, who recently resigned from the position.

An accomplished engineer and a distinguished educator, Kambhampati has dedicated 24 years to teaching as an Associate Professor at Andhra University Engineering College. His commitment to academic development has played a crucial role in shaping the careers of numerous engineering students.

The appointment was made by President Droupadi Murmu following the acceptance of Raghubar Das’s resignation, marking a new chapter in Odisha’s governance under Kambhampati’s leadership.
