odisha news: Bhubaneswar,(Reporterspen) Feb 10: The health condition of veteran Odia film actor Uttam Mohanty is currently stable as he continues to receive treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
Mohanty was airlifted to Gurgaon from Bhubaneswar in critical condition two days ago for advanced medical care. Prior to that, he was undergoing treatment at KIMS Super Specialty Hospital in Bhubaneswar. The actor is reportedly suffering from liver cirrhosis, and his treatment is being closely monitored by a team of specialists.
The Ollywood fraternity, along with his fans and well-wishers, have expressed their support and wished him a speedy recovery. Many of his admirers have taken to social media to send their prayers and best wishes.
Uttam Mohanty is one of Odisha’s most celebrated actors, having acted in over 110 films, along with a few TV serials. He was the only Odia actor to win the Best Actor Award from the state government for three consecutive years (1982, 1983, and 1984) and was honored with the prestigious Jayadeva Award in 1999.
Meanwhile, his friends and well-wishers gathered at Maa Ambika Temple in Mayurbhanj today, offering prayers for his long life and quick recovery.
