Odisha News: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 11: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) is set to launch curated city trails under the initiative named Odisha Walks in Cuttack, Puri, and Sambalpur, starting January 2025. This initiative aims to transform these cities into attractive urban destinations for both tourism and everyday living.
According to an official statement, “The Odisha Walks aims to make Cuttack, Puri, and Sambalpur appealing urban centers for tourists and residents alike. This initiative will enhance the trail experience curated by the OTDC for citizens, tourists, and visitors, celebrating each city’s rich history, natural resources, and essential infrastructure.”
Various thematic trails will be developed, each designed to highlight the unique heritage and captivating stories of each city.
The Managing Director of OTDC has called for Expressions of Interest from qualified agencies and bidders to conceptualize and execute the trails, which are planned to occur every weekend during the tourism season until March 2025. Interested parties are required to submit their proposals by December 16. While some reference locations have been suggested, agencies are encouraged to explore and propose additional sites in consultation with the OTDC, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging experience for participants.
