Odisha news: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 28: With a large number of devotees and tourists expected to visit Puri for the New Year celebrations, extensive security measures have been put in place to ensure the safe and smooth movement of visitors. In addition, a special traffic advisory has been issued to manage vehicle flow and prevent traffic congestion.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Puri Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinit Agarwal stated that security has been heightened around key areas including the Shree Jagannath Temple, the sea beach, traffic zones, bus stands, railway stations, and other significant locations in the town.

“Ahead of the New Year, we have implemented necessary security arrangements across Puri, covering the Jagannath Temple, surrounding areas, major temples, the sea beach, and key traffic zones to ensure safety and prevent any incidents,” said Agarwal.

Regarding parking and traffic management, visitors arriving from Bhubaneswar will need to park their vehicles at Jail Road or Saradha Bali parking zones. Those coming from the Konark side will park at Talabania Ground, while visitors entering from Brahmagiri will use the Jatrika parking area. All four-wheelers will be required to return via the same route they entered.
