Odisha News: Aspirants protest at Odisha Minister’s residence over OSSSC examination irregularities

Odisha News:Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 3: A large group of aspirants gathered at the residence of Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Thursday, protesting alleged irregularities in the examination conducted by the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) for various recruitment posts.

The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction with the exam procedures and claimed that irregularities plagued the recruitment process for district cadre posts, including Revenue Inspectors (RIs), ICDS supervisors, ARI, Amin, and SFS.

The preliminary written examination for these positions began on September 20 and is scheduled to continue until October 20. OSSSC aims to fill a total of 2,895 vacant posts through this recruitment drive.

Tension escalated in the Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar as aspirants raised their voices over the examination conduct, creating a disturbance at a local cyber café. Senior officials from OSSSC and the state government were not immediately available for comment regarding the situation, leaving the aspirants seeking clarification and resolution.
