Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Aug 10: Heavy rain and thunderstorms with lightning are forecasted for several districts in Odisha on Saturday (August 10). The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rain at one or two locations in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Keonjhar districts. Thunderstorms with lightning are also expected at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Dhenkanal.
Bhubaneswar may experience a partly cloudy sky with a chance of moderate rain or thunderstorms.
Additionally, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are anticipated at many locations in North Interior Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and a few other districts until 8:30 am on Sunday.
While light to moderate rain may persist at some locations over the next three days, the intensity of rainfall is expected to increase again from August 14. A yellow warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore districts. Heavy rainfall is also forecasted at one or two places in some districts of North Odisha on August 15-16.
