Odisha to see intense downpours in several districts

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 31: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on Wednesday that Odisha is expected to experience continued rainfall for the next week, with heavy downpours likely in several areas over the next three days.

Currently, the cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand has shifted to Gangetic West Bengal and extends up to 3.1 km above sea level.
According to the midday bulletin from the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, most parts of Odisha will see varying intensities of rain over the coming week, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected across the state.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) in 15 districts over the next 24 hours. These districts include Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, and Jagatsinghpur.

Weather Forecast:
August 1: Yellow Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) expected in parts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Kalahandi.
August 2: Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Deogarh.
