Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 6: On Friday, the Odisha Vigilance initiated raids on former Jharpada Special Jail Superintendent Satya Prakash Swain, now serving as the Superintendent of Keonjhar District Jail, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a Vigilance release, searches are being carried out simultaneously at seven locations in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar. The operation is led by teams comprising 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 11 inspectors, and other supporting staff, based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The raids are currently underway at the following locations:
Residential house at Govindprasad, Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.
Parental house at Siddhi Vihar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.
Native village in Narsinghpur, Dhusuri, Bhadrak.
Government quarters at Special Jail Colony, Jharpada, Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.
Government quarters inside the jail campus, Keonjhar.
Office room at Keonjhar District Jail.
Relative’s house at Jharpara, Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar.
