Ollywood war: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 22: An attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute between Ollywood director Bobby Islam and actor Manoj Mishra took a dramatic turn on Friday outside the Bhubaneswar DCP office.

The two had gathered in an effort to amicably settle their issues, but things escalated when Bobby accused Manoj of threatening and attempting to attack him in front of police officers. A verbal altercation quickly turned physical as Manoj charged at Bobby, only to be restrained by a police officer, who subsequently tried to pull him into the station.

Bobby later told reporters, “Manoj tried to attack me in the presence of Chandrasekharpur police IIC Prakash Majhi. He later apologized in front of Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra. I will file a complaint at Saheed Nagar police station.”

Director Jyoti Das, who was also present, stated that Manoj had frequently criticized his films and others, and he had also been targeted during the incident. The Bhubaneswar DCP confirmed that both Bobby and Manoj had lodged separate complaints—Bobby claiming he received death threats through a WhatsApp call, while Manoj accused Bobby of threats and abuse. Police have registered two cases and are investigating the matter. Both parties were counseled to avoid personal attacks and warned against further unruly behavior.
