Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 17: On Tuesday, PM Modi Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects in Odisha, with a total value of Rs 3,800 crore.
During his day-long visit to the state, the Prime Minister launched key railway and national highway projects at a special event held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.
This visit marks PM Modi’s first trip to Odisha since the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12. At the event, Modi inaugurated railway projects worth over Rs 2,871 crore in Bhubaneswar, aimed at enhancing the region’s railway infrastructure, boosting connectivity, and supporting regional growth.
Additionally, he laid the foundation for national highway projects valued at more than Rs 1,000 crore. Modi emphasized that these railway and highway projects will improve rail connectivity, alleviate congestion on major routes, and foster socio-economic development across Odisha, including its industrial, resource-rich, and tribal regions.
