President Droupadi Murmu: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 19: The Indian Navy will demonstrate its maritime prowess at Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha, on Navy Day, December 4, with President Droupadi Murmu attending as the Chief Guest. This event is part of her official visit to Odisha from December 3-7. During her visit, the President will also travel to her home district of Mayurbhanj.
She is scheduled to arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport on December 3 and participate in various events in Puri on December 4. These include attending the Navy Day demonstration and engaging in programs such as the 40th convocation of Odisha University of Technology and Architecture (OUTA) and the inauguration of a new judicial court complex in Bhubaneswar on December 5.
On December 6, President Murmu will visit her alma mater, Uparbeda Government High School in Mayurbhanj, interacting with students and teachers. She will also inaugurate an ambulance at a local hospital and visit Rairangpur Women’s College. Later, she will offer prayers at Puneswar Mahadev Temple and spend the night in Rairangpur.
The following day, December 7, President Murmu will lay the foundation stones for three key railway projects in Mayurbhanj, including the Badampahar-Kendujhargarh, Bangriposi-Gorumahisani, and Buramara-Chakulia rail links.
