President visit: President Droupadi Murmu begins five-day visit to Odisha

President visit: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Dec 3: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday evening for a five-day visit to Odisha, during which she will participate in key events, including Navy Day celebrations in Puri.

Upon landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BBPIA) in an Indian Air Force aircraft, she was warmly welcomed by Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other dignitaries.

As per her itinerary, President Murmu will unveil a new statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu and visit Adim Owar Jarpa Jaher before staying overnight at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. On Wednesday morning, she will visit the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri and attend the 75th-anniversary celebrations of Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya.

In the evening, as the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, she will join the Navy Day celebration at Puri’s Blue Flag Beach, commemorating the 1971 war’s successful ‘Operation Trident.’ Highlights include displays by 15 warships, submarines, 40 aircraft, and Marine Commandos. Over 7,000 guests are expected to attend.

On December 5, the President will address the 40th convocation of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology and inaugurate a new Judicial Court Complex in Bhubaneswar.
