Puri Shree Mandir: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), April 8: In a key development regarding the management of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan announced that the state government is preparing to roll out a queue management system known as ‘Dhadi Darshan’ to improve the flow of devotees during darshan.

The new system is expected to be implemented by the end of April and aims to bring order and discipline to the current unregulated darshan setup. The Minister made this announcement while speaking to the media during his visit to the Tara Tarini temple in Berhampur. He said the initiative is part of a broader effort to reform temple management practices across Odisha, with a special emphasis on the Jagannath Temple.

Harichandan further revealed that the long-pending formation of the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee will be completed within the week. Once constituted, the committee is expected to approve the relocation of the temple’s donation boxes (hundis), subject to necessary approvals from both the committee and the state government.

The Minister emphasized that these measures will enhance transparency, improve temple governance, and ensure a more organized and comfortable darshan experience for devotees, particularly during festivals and crowded days.
