robbery: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 8: In a brazen daylight robbery, unidentified miscreants allegedly stole ₹7.3 lakh in cash from a man in Balangir district, Odisha, on Friday. The incident occurred in Haldi village, under the jurisdiction of Muribahal police station, when Lalit Gahir, an employee at the Grahak Seva Kendra (GSK) of a local bank, was traveling with the cash.

According to sources, Lalit was on his bike with his sister when the miscreants intercepted them near Haldi village. The robbers, armed with sharp weapons, threatened the duo before forcefully snatching the cash bag from Lalit. They fled the scene quickly, leaving the victims in shock.

The Muribahal police were promptly alerted, and a team rushed to the location to begin an investigation. Authorities are working to track down the suspects and recover the stolen money. The robbery, carried out with such audacity in broad daylight, has raised concerns about the safety of bank employees handling large sums of cash.
