Subhadra Yojana: 35 lakh beneficiaries to receive Subhadra Yojana payment in Odisha on Wednesday

Subhadra Yojana: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Oct 8: The Odisha government is set to disburse the second phase of the first installment of payments under the Subhadra Yojana to 35 lakh beneficiaries on Wednesday. According to Deputy Chief Minister and Women and Child Development Minister Pravati Parida, over 35 lakh eligible women with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) clearance will receive their payments by tomorrow.

“The Chief Minister will officially release the second phase of the first installment into the beneficiaries’ accounts before 12 PM tomorrow. So far, more than 1 crore women have enrolled in the Subhadra Yojana,” said Parida.

The Subhadra Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Bhubaneswar on his birthday, September 17. Under this scheme, the Odisha government provides financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 annually to women between the ages of 21 and 60 who meet the eligibility criteria. This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to empower women and support their economic independence.
