Subhadra Yojana: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 21: In a significant announcement, Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed that all Anganwadi workers will now be included as beneficiaries of the state’s Subhadra Yojana, aimed at empowering women. Speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, Parida said that the financial assistance for these workers will be disbursed in the third phase of the first installment, set for release on November 24.
The event will take place in Sundargarh, where over 20 lakh women are expected to receive their benefits. To date, the government has provided financial assistance to around 60.27 lakh beneficiaries.
Parida further informed that the verification process for the scheme has been completed, and the goal is to extend assistance to over one crore women by December 2024.
Regarding rejected applications, she stated that a meeting would be held later to discuss the status of 2.67 lakh excluded beneficiaries. Additionally, around 5 lakh applicants with mismatched bank account details have made corrections, and they too will receive assistance on November 24.
