The Deputy Chief Minister revealed that 2.67 lakh applications had errors, with 22% of them already corrected. A review of the list of ineligible beneficiaries is ongoing, and physical verifications will be carried out. All eligible applicants will receive their first installment in 2025.
Parida urged beneficiaries not to rush to the banks. She advised that those with discrepancies between Aadhaar numbers and ration cards should wait for officials to contact them. The scheme will remain open until all eligible beneficiaries are covered. Applicants who register now will receive the amount in February.
Addressing concerns about tribal women in Bonda Ghati, Malkangiri, who were excluded, Parida assured that officials have been instructed to visit and include them in the scheme.
To date, 80 lakh women have benefited from the initiative, with the third phase of the first installment already released to 20 lakh beneficiaries on November 24.
