Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen),Sept 25: (Subhadra Yojana)All eligible beneficiaries will receive the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana, the Odisha government’s flagship initiative for women’s welfare, by March 8, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Wednesday. Approximately 92 lakh women have applied for the scheme, and the first installment has already been disbursed to 25.11 lakh beneficiaries. The total number of beneficiaries is expected to reach 1 crore within a week.

Parida stated that the first installment will be credited to the bank accounts of those who have not yet received it by March 8, coinciding with the distribution of the second installment. She attributed the delays to issues related to KYC (Know Your Customer) authentication.

The Deputy Chief Minister also mentioned that the four financial slabs for the Subhadra Yojana will be finalized soon and reassured that all eligible beneficiaries, except taxpayers, will receive assistance. Notably, the application process for the scheme is still open, as no closing date has been announced by the government.
